      "Do your know the difference
between a preacher and a mother?"

Of course you do! "People listen to their mothers!"

Women appear to be endowed by their Creator with the natural ability to assert a great influence upon others and no where is this seen more than in the home. God has given women this ability and they have been using it ever since the garden of Eden to influence husbands, children, grandchildren and in-laws. Of course, influence can be good or bad, depending upon the individual. Deborah, of the Old Testament, instilled faith and courage in the heart of a man and led her nation to victory. Yet, Delilah, of the Old Testament, destroyed all that was pure and noble within her husband and made her nation unfit before God. It is difficult to fully evaluate the power of a woman’s influence, but I think you will agree - there is not a woman on the face of this earth that does not possess this potential power for good or evil. Eugenia Price, Woman to Woman, said, “Let’s face it, a woman’s influence is not more important than a man’s influence, but it is different. Women scar hearts and souls. God did not give this power to influence without a reason. But it is certain that he did give it, but not to use as Eve used hers on Adam.”
